2.0 Age :
2.1The upper age for candidates belonging to General category is 30 years as on 01.11.2016
2.2The upper age limit will be relaxable by 3 years for OBC candidates (Non-creamy layer) and 5 years for SC/ST candidates.
2.3 Upper age limit for PWD candidates shall be relaxable by 10 years (13 years for PWD candidates belonging to OBC and 15 years for PWD candidates belonging to SC/ST category).
2.4 In case of Government servants, upper age limit is relaxable upto 5years beyond the age limit as specified for respective categories, in accordance with the instructions or orders issued by the Central Government).
3.1 Masters degree of a recognized University or Equivalent in Hindi with English as a subject at Degree level
Masters Degree of a recognized University or equivalent in English with Hindi as a subject at the degree level or equivalent in any subject with Hindi and English as subjects at Degree level
Masters Degree of a recognized University or equivalent in any subject with Hindi medium and English as a subject at the Degree level

4.0 Additional Qualification / Experience:
4.1 Recognized diploma or certificate course in translation from Hindi to English or vice versa
Two years experience of translation work from Hindi to English and vice versa in Central or State Government.
5.1 The candidates meeting the criteria will be shortlisted for the selection process. The selection process will comprise of written test and / or practical test. The Practical test ( if any) will be qualifying in nature. The final list will be prepared based on the marks scored by the candidate in the written test.
5.2 However, the candidature of the applicant will be provisional and is subject to verification of Certificates /Testimonials submitted by him/her.
6.1 Candidates belonging to GEN/OBC category are required pay an application fee of Rs 300/-.
6.2 The mode of payment is as follows. Candidates are required to download and print the bank challan ( link provided below the advertisement). The challan (in triplicate) is to be filled by the applicant and submitted to the nearest SBI Branch, along with an application fee of Rs.300/- plus bank charges. On submission of the challan unique transaction number (Journal Number) will be generated and the same would be written by the staff at the Bank. The bank portion of the challan will be retained by the staff and the remaining 2 portions will be given to the candidate. The candidate is to ensure that the ‘Journal Number’ is entered on the challan before leaving the bank.
6.3 The candidate is required to enter the details of the challan and the ‘Journal Number’ in the application format and enclose the same with the Application form.
6.4 The application fee is non-refundable under any circumstances.
7.1 Knowledge of Kannada and registration in any of the Employment Exchanges of Karnataka is preferable.
7.2 Candidates are advised to carefully read the full advertisement for details of eligibility criteria and selection modalities before submission of application.
7.3 Only those candidates who meet all the aforementioned eligibility criteria for the post shall be called for Written Test.
7.4 However, the candidature of the applicant will be provisional and subject to verification of certificates /Testimonials submitted by him/her.
7.5 Candidates working in Government/Semi government/Public Sector Organization are required to produce “No Objection Certificate” at the time of Document verification. In case the candidate fails to do so, his/her candidature will be disqualified.
7.6 The number of posts indicated above, may vary based on the actual requirement at the time of selection. Applications that are incomplete, not in the prescribed format, without the required enclosures will be summarily rejected without assigning any reason and no correspondence in this regard will be entertained. There will be no separate communication to any candidates on their non-selection at any stage.
7.7 All eligibility qualification should be recognized and from a recognized Institution/Board/Council/ University.
7.8 Applicants should have sound health. Appointment of selected candidates will be subject to their being found medically fit in the Pre-employment Medical Examination to be conducted as per Norms & Standards of Medical Fitness.
7.9 SC/ST/PWD Candidates shall be reimbursed second class rail fare/bus fare by shortest route for to and fro travel for the purpose of appearing in test, on production of railway ticket/number/bus ticket for onward journey and self-attested copy of SC/ST/PWD certificate, restricted to distance between the address for communication and the test centre. The candidates have to produce valid SC/ST/ PWD certificate in proof of their category for verification.
7.10 Reservation/Relaxation/Concession for OBC Non Creamy Layer (NCL) candidates will be subject to submission of attested copy of OBC (NCL) certificate along with Declaration in the format prescribed by the Govt. of India for “Appointment in Central Govt. Posts” issued by the competent authority at the time of document verification. Income Certificate will not be considered as OBC Certificate.
7.10 Persons suffering from not less than 40% of the relevant disability (Orthopedically handicapped/Hearing Handicapped/Visually handicapped) shall only be eligible for the benefit for PWD subject to submission of Disability Certificate issued by a Government Medical Board in the format prescribed by Govt. of India.
7.11 Candidature is liable to be rejected at any stage of recruitment/eligibility/selection process or after joining, if any information provided by the candidate is not found in conformity with the criteria mentioned in the advertisement. The candidature is also liable for rejection at any stage if BEL comes across any evidence/knowledge that the qualification, experience and any other particulars indicated in the application/other forms/formats are not recognized/false/misleading and/or amounts to suppression of information/particulars which should have been brought to the notice of BEL.
7.12 Mere submission of application does not guarantee the adequacy of candidature for being considered for further selection process.
7.13 Management reserves the right to cancel/ restrict / enlarge /modify /alter the recruitment/selection process, if need so arises, without issuing any further notice or assigning any reason thereafter.
7.16 E-mail ID and Mobile number to be entered in application form is mandatory.
8.0 Interested candidates may send the applications through post / courier, superscribing on the envelope the post applied for, in the downloadable application format enclosing a recent passport size photograph along with self attested copies of SSLC / Matriculation Certificate (proof of age), Marks Cards of all semesters for having possessed the relevant qualifications mentioned above, certificate from previous employer regarding experience in OL implementation, Caste certificate, PWD Certificate (if applicable) and other relevant certificates. Copy of Payment challan to be enclosed.
9.0 Canvassing in any form will result in disqualification.
10.0 Deserving candidates may be extended relaxation in age based on merit at the discretion of the Management.
11.0 Applications that are incomplete, not in the prescribed format, not legible, without the required enclosures will be summarily rejected without assigning any reasons and no correspondence in this regard will be entertained.
12.0 Only Indian nationals need apply.
